Difficulty level : Advanced
iWhat does this level mean?
- Beginner: one large subject and big areas to paint, little detail. Ideal for a first canvas.
- Intermediate: several elements or colour gradients, with smaller areas. It takes a little more care and a fine brush in places.
- Advanced: a busy scene with many small areas and small faces to paint with a fine brush. For experienced painters, or with patience.
Tip: on a larger canvas the areas are bigger and easier to paint.
Colourful rabbit in a flower field paint by numbers kit
The rabbit fills the middle of the canvas, ears up and whiskers drawn in. Its fur mixes blue, brown and white, with green grass behind and large orange flowers rising to the height of its paws; a few small purple flowers sit between them. Pop art keeps each area in a clean block, so you fill shapes instead of blending tones. The landscape format leaves room for the field on both sides. Choose 24, 36 or 48 numbered acrylics depending on how much shading you want in the fur. The printed linen canvas, three brushes and the paper chart come in the box.
Tips for painting this design
Start with the orange petals: they are the widest blocks on the canvas and the medium brush covers them quickly. Green grass comes next, then the rabbit's body. Keep the fine brush for the whiskers, the outline of the ears and the purple dots, the smallest areas here. Blue and brown touch along the fur, so read the number before each stroke. A 30x40 cm canvas holds this level of detail well; from 50x70 cm upwards the same blocks take much longer to fill. More designs with flat colour blocks sit in our pop art paint by numbers range.
Sizes, colours and painting time
The design comes in 20x30 to 60x80 cm (9 sizes). You choose a 24, 36 or 48 colour kit, on rolled canvas, with a wooden frame to assemble or with the canvas already mounted on its frame (except in 50x70 and 60x80 cm, delivered rolled). Allow around 12 to 30 h depending on the size.
What's in the kit
Canvas:The printed linen canvas carries the outlines and numbers for the rabbit, the orange flowers and the grass, ready to paint once unrolled.
Paint:Numbered acrylic pots, ready to use, covering the blue, brown, orange, green and white of the scene.
Brushes:The fine brush is for the whiskers and purple dots, the medium for petals and fur, the wide for the grass.
Guide:The paper reference chart lets you check the numbers where the blue and brown of the fur meet.
Optional:Assemble the wooden frame yourself to stretch and hang the canvas; without it the kit arrives rolled. You can also choose it already mounted on its frame, ready to hang.

Without frame
The canvas arrives rolled in a tube. You paint it flat and frame it afterwards if you wish.
With frame
Wooden stretcher bars to assemble stretch the canvas. You paint on a taut surface and hang the finished picture on the wall.
Mounted canvas
The canvas arrives already stretched on its wooden frame. You start painting right away and hang the picture on the wall.
Questions about this design
Which size should I choose for this colourful rabbit?
The 30x40 cm keeps the flowers and the fur clear without turning them into tiny blocks. Take the 40x50 cm if the picture will hang on its own on a wall, and stay under 50x70 cm if you want a quicker finish.
How long does the rabbit take to paint?
Around 12 to 30 hours depending on the size you choose. The orange flowers and the green grass make up most of the canvas and go quickly with the medium and wide brushes. The whiskers, ear outlines and purple dots are the slowest part at the end.
Who is this paint by numbers kit for?
Children aged 8 and over and beginners can work through it, since every pop art block is wide and carries a number. It suits a calm family session at the kitchen table, with the fine brush kept for the whiskers and the small purple flowers.
How do you paint by numbers?
Paint the orange petals first, then the green grass, then the rabbit's body. The fur is the only fiddly part: blue and brown patches touch, so check the chart before each stroke and take one patch at a time. Thin coats keep the printed numbers readable.
What are the tips for painting by numbers?
Read the paper chart before you load the brush on any area where blue meets brown or white. Painting one patch at a time keeps the edges of the pop art blocks sharp and stops the wrong colour landing in a numbered shape.
