Lucario Paint by Numbers

Lucario paint by numbers for adults and beginners

Our Lucario paint by numbers range has four designs, and they differ in difficulty. The duel between Lucario and Gardevoir, the space battle with Gengar and the night scene with the glowing heart have broad areas of sky and energy, which suit a first project. Pikachu dressed as Mega Lucario has flat yellow areas that are easy to cover. Night scenes with stars and lightning ask for more patience, so give them a 30x40 cm or 40x50 cm canvas and keep the largest sizes for wide compositions. If you want a lucario painting kit for yourself or as a gift for a Pokémon fan, the choice comes down to the scene you like and the size you can comfortably work at.

Painting this theme: three points to get right

Choosing between the four designs

Gengar vs Lucario suits anyone who likes a dark, dramatic scene, with deep space tones and bursts of energy. Lucario vs Gardevoir Pokémon Paint by Numbers shows the two characters face to face, so the colours split neatly between blue and white on one side and green on the other. Lucario and Gardevoir at Night is the calmer choice, built around the glowing heart. Pikachu Dressed as Mega Lucario adds a lighter, more playful note and works well for younger fans painting with an adult nearby.

If you enjoy Pokémon in general, our Pokémon paint by numbers collection covers more characters, and the Pikachu paint by numbers page has designs built around the best-known one of all.

Sizes, canvas and frame

Sizes go from 15x15 to 70x80 cm. A small canvas finishes quickly but leaves little room for stars and lightning, so the fine details are easier to handle on a 40x40 cm canvas or larger. Each kit arrives with the canvas rolled in a tube, or on a wooden frame if you choose that option. A frame saves you from stretching the canvas yourself and lets you hang the finished piece straight away.

For a gentler first project, easy paint by numbers kits are a useful comparison before you commit to a night scene with a lot of small areas.

Tips for a clean finish

Work in a well-lit spot and keep a cloth beside you for the brushes. Rinse the brush between colours, and close each pot after use so the paint stays workable. Paint one area at a time and move across the canvas from top to bottom to avoid smudging wet paint with your hand. If a number still shows through a pale colour once dry, add a third thin coat rather than a thick one. When the canvas is finished, leave it flat until it is completely dry before you hang it or fit it to a frame.
