Stranger Things Paint by Numbers

Our Stranger Things paint by numbers collection holds seven designs inspired by the series, made as fan art rather than licensed products. You will find Children Cycling in a Glowing Forest, Eleven and Floating Objects, Inverted Floating Village, 1980s Arcade Kids, Hand and String Lights and Retro 80s Kitchen Waffles, plus a teenager playing a tabletop role-playing game. Each one suits the dark, saturated palette of the show, with deep blues, reds and warm lamp yellows. Every kit includes a linen canvas printed with numbered areas, acrylic paint pots in 24, 36 or 48 colours, three brushes and a paper chart to follow. Sizes run from 15x15 to 70x80 cm, and you can choose a rolled canvas or one mounted on a wooden frame. Delivery in the UK is free.

How to Paint Your Stranger Things Paint by Number Kit

A Stranger Things paint by number kit suits anyone who likes slow, focused evenings with a good soundtrack. The scenes are dark, so the work is as much about light as colour: glowing bulbs, red skies and pale forest mist. Keep the numbered chart beside you, have a cloth and water to hand, and work in small areas. Here is how we would approach these particular designs.

Painting this theme: three things to get right

Paint the darkest areas first

Begin with the deep blues and blacks that fill the background. Painting them first gives you a firm base, and lighter details such as glowing lights or Eleven's floating objects can then sit on top without the dark paint creeping over them. Let each layer dry fully.

Build the glow with two thin coats

For string lights and forest glow, paint the brightest numbers last and use a second coat. Acrylic can look thin next to dark neighbours, so two thin layers of yellow or white give a stronger glow than one thick one. Use the finest brush for small bulbs.

Take care with small, packed shapes

The arcade and kitchen designs have many small, tightly packed shapes. Work from top to bottom, rest your wrist on a clean sheet of paper, and tick off numbers on the chart as you go. Close the pots after each colour so the paint stays workable.

Gift ideas and sizes for Stranger Things fans

These kits make a good gift for fans who grew up in the 1980s or came to the series more recently. Smaller sizes, around 20x30 cm, suit a first attempt and fit on a shelf or desk. Larger canvases of 40x50 cm or more work well above a sofa or in a games room. Choose the wooden frame if you want to hang it straight away, or a rolled canvas if you plan to use your own frame. Kits with 24 colours suit beginners, while 48 colours allow finer shading.
