Stitch in the Desert paint by numbers kit: a glowing plant to paint

Stitch sits among ochre rocks and watches a bioluminescent plant rise from the dry ground. Behind him, mountains stand under a sky that shifts from orange to yellow at dusk. The flower at the centre carries the turquoise and pink areas, which stand out against the brown earth. The scene is cartoon style and the outlines and numbers are already printed on the linen canvas, so each numbered area tells you which acrylic to use. Tips for painting this design

Start with the orange and yellow sky and the mountains, using the wide brush to lay down the base tones. Move on to the ochres and browns of the ground, then paint Stitch's blue body. Keep the fine brush for last, for the pink and turquoise details of the plant. The kit comes in 9 sizes from 20x30 to 60x80 cm, and a larger canvas gives you more room on those small plant areas.
