Tips for painting this design

Start with the large areas of vermilion red and grass green in the field to set the base of the picture. Use the wide brush for the rolling hills and the swirling sky, where you can cover ground quickly. Switch to the medium brush for the dirt path and the purple mountains. Keep the fine brush for the white parasol, the dress and the child's blue shirt. The 36 and 48 colour options give you extra shades of golden yellow and red to build the afternoon light. Let each layer dry before you paint the small poppies over the green, and rinse your brush when you move between white and cobalt blue.
