A Woody and Buzz paint by numbers kit with the whole Toy Story gang
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie stand in front of an open cardboard box. Around them you paint Slinky Dog, Rex, Mr Potato Head, Mrs Potato Head, Hamm, Zurg, Lots-o' and the Aliens. The background is a set of orange and yellow rays, and the browns of the box and the characters' clothes are broken up by touches of blue and pink. Every face, arm and object has its own numbered area, so the canvas is dense. It is rated Advanced and takes around 20 to 40 hours depending on the size. If you like Disney kits, our Disney paint by numbers range has more designs.
Tips for painting this design
Start with the rays: the large orange and yellow bands fill quickly with the wide brush. Move on to the brown box, then Woody's and Jessie's clothes. Keep the faces, hands and small characters such as the Aliens for the end, using the fine brush. Buzz's blue and Mrs Potato Head's pink usually need two coats to cover. With so many characters, we suggest 40x50 cm or larger.
Sizes, colours and painting time
The design comes in 20x30 to 60x80 cm (9 sizes). You choose a 24, 36 or 48 colour kit, on rolled canvas, with a wooden frame to assemble or with the canvas already mounted on its frame (except in 50x70 and 60x80 cm, delivered rolled). Allow around 20 to 40 h depending on the size.
What's in the kit
Canvas:The printed linen canvas shows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the open box with their numbers.
Paint:The numbered acrylic pots contain the orange, yellow, blue, brown and pink of the characters and the background.
Brushes:The fine brush is for the outlines of the faces, the medium one for the clothes and the wide one for the orange and yellow rays.
Guide:The paper guide to the design helps you find the numbers for the areas of Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the box.
Optional:The wooden frame to assemble lets you stretch the printed canvas of the box and characters. You can also choose it already mounted on its frame, ready to hang.

Without frame
The canvas arrives rolled in a tube. You paint it flat and frame it afterwards if you wish.
With frame
Wooden stretcher bars to assemble stretch the canvas. You paint on a taut surface and hang the picture on the wall.
Mounted canvas
The canvas arrives already stretched on its wooden frame. You start painting right away and hang the picture on the wall.
Questions about this design
Which size should I choose for this Toy Story picture?
40x50 cm is a good compromise: the faces of Woody, Buzz and Jessie stay clear and the background areas are comfortable to paint. Below 30x40 cm, the small characters become cramped.
Is this design difficult to paint?
The level is Advanced. Many characters share the canvas, with fine details on the faces, hands and objects in the box. Allow around 20 to 40 hours depending on the size, and keep a fine brush in good condition.
Who is this Toy Story paint by numbers for?
For an adult or teenager who loves the films and enjoys a long project. It also works as a gift for two people, each taking half of the canvas. The kit contains everything you need.
How do I use the paint by numbers kit?
Paint the areas according to the numbers. On this canvas, start with the orange and yellow rays using the wide brush, then the brown box and the clothes. Save faces, hands and Aliens for the end with the fine brush. The paper guide helps you check the numbers.
What are the standard sizes for a picture?
This kit comes in 9 sizes from 20x30 to 60x80 cm. With so many characters, choose at least 40x50 cm. The canvas is rolled, with a wooden frame to assemble or with the canvas already mounted on its frame (except in 50x70 and 60x80 cm, delivered rolled) depending on the option.
