Can you add textured or raised elements to a paint by numbers?
You can add textured or raised elements after the base layers have dried. Apply acrylic texture gel or modelling paste with a brush or palette knife to areas such as tree bark, flower petals or waves. For shiny details, use glitter gel or fine glitter mixed with a transparent medium, for example on water or a starry sky. Sprinkle fine sand onto tacky medium to create a textured beach. You can also attach beads, metal threads or fabric pieces with a matte or gloss medium. Let the paint dry completely before adding any textured elements.
