Harry Potter paint by numbers: guide and practical tips
Each kit contains a pre-printed numbered canvas, numbered pots of acrylic paint, three brushes and a colour guide. You choose from twelve canvas sizes, and you can have the canvas rolled in a tube without a frame or with a wooden stretcher frame to assemble. The canvas is painted taut on the frame and hangs straight away.
Everything you need to start painting is in the box, so you only need a flat surface and good light.
We have 45 Harry Potter designs to paint. Many feature Dobby, including Dobby and His Sock, Dobby and the Gnome Tea Party, Dobby at Hogwarts and Dobby in the Forest. Other designs show Harry Potter and Ron, the trio at Hogwarts, Hogwarts itself, or the Deathly Hallows poster.
Browse the complete category range and choose the scene that suits the space where you plan to hang your finished painting.
Yes. Many of our customers paint these designs as adults, and the kits work well as a calm evening activity. The numbered canvas and colour guide mean you do not need drawing experience.
If you want a longer project with easier detail work, choose a larger canvas, as the numbered areas are bigger. A smaller canvas is quicker to finish if you prefer something shorter.
Work in small sections and let each area dry before painting next to it, especially where dark colours sit beside lighter ones. Keep your brush rinsed and dried between colours, and use a light touch rather than loading the brush heavily.
Paint from the top of the canvas downwards where you can, so you are less likely to rest your hand on wet paint. A clean, dry cloth under your wrist also helps protect finished areas.
